'House of Cards' season 5 release date, spoilers: Underwood should be afraid of Conway
"House of Cards" season 5 will see Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) in a showdown against his newest political rival, Will Conway (Joel Kinnaman), who made his presence known last season.
Frank has done a lot of bad things and has dealt with a lot of people, but Conway is someone that will certainly give him a run for his money.
Kinnaman recently teased on Twitter that things will surely heat up in "House of Cards" season 5 by sharing a photo showing the page of the script for the third episode, which fans can assume will be an intense episode in terms of Conway and Frank's showdown.
Describing his character, the "Suicide Squad" actor said that Conway and Frank are basically the same and share the same goals and the willingness to do everything to get to what they want.
"It was an opponent he hadn't faced before. Someone who was formidable, but a different kind of threat. But in many ways, I think they're two sides of the same coin," Kinnaman explained to Wall Street Journal.
"They have a real ruthlessness to them. You get the feeling that they will do anything to get the power they are after," the actor continued.
Much like Underwood, Conway's coldness is subtle, but in "House of Cards" season 5, more and more people around him will get to see him as he really is despite the "little piece of sincerity" on display that politicians, as Kinnaman said, always "run with."
In "House of Cards" season 5, the election will be in full swing. Underwood will make his bid to convince America to be the president while Conway himself will do so as well.
The two will do everything there is to make sure they win, and this is why Underwood should be afraid of Conway in the new season.
"House of Cards" season 5 will premiere early next year on Netflix. Production is now underway.
