'How to Get Away with Murder' season 3 spoilers news: Will Michaela and Asher step up their attraction?
While "How to Get Away with Murder" season 3 might follow the track headed toward the resolution of a most recent cliffhanging crime, the upcoming season will also be allotting a plot that will delve more deeply into the blossoming relationship between Michaela Pratt (Aja Naomi King) and Asher Millstone (Matt McGorry).
The circumstances around Michaela and Asher were rather not in favor of their setting off in a romantic liaison. Both of them were involved with someone else which would have made the situation complicated and problematic. They were practically walking on eggshells. But then again there will be the likelihood for Michaela and Asher to reconsider and give the apparent attraction between them a try. Caleb's death paved the way for this renewed chance for the two law students.
"How to Get Away with Murder" creator and executive producer Pete Nowalk discussed this story arc with The Entertainment Weekly. According to Nowalk, Asher is a "healthy choice" for both Bonnie Winterbottom (Liza Weil) and Michaela especially taking into consideration their negative history with men. Both women have gone through the experience of having been treated unfairly and taken advantage of. Meanwhile, they find something very vulnerable about Asher as he is the type to not hide his emotions and is also an affectionate man who has love for women. These traits make him a good, if not ideal, security blanket.
However, the answer to the more important question lies with Michaela who will really have to look in herself and be more definitive about what she will intend to be after. After all, she has ended up with uninteresting men and she will need to first figure out for herself what kind of relationship she will want to be in.
"We have so much to explore with her," remarked Nowalk of King's character. He added that he is excited to really explore the character in the next season.
"How to Get Away with Murder" season 3 will premiere on ABC later this year.
