'How to Get Away with Murder' season 3 spoilers, news: Viola Davis dishes on Annalise's fate; a love triangle sizzles in season 3?
"How to Get Away with Murder" lead star Viola Davis shared what's in store for her character this coming third season. The actress likewise hinted of shocking twists and mysteries in season 3.
Davis plays lawyer and professor Annalise Keating in ABC's hit drama, and while the prospect of another season excites her to no end, she's quite adamant about the possible plot twists that could make or break the show's third season.
Apparently, more aspects of Annalise's life would be revealed, mostly having to do with her sexuality and past relationships. It would be remembered that in season 2, the powerful defense attorney was revealed to be romancing her female college friend.
In an interview with Gold Derby via webcam chat, Davis said Annalise's past is most definitely shrouded in mystery.
"Every human being comes with mystery, and sexuality is one of them, and certainly we know with Annalise that her whole past is a mystery. She's definitely a woman you can't put your finger on," Davis said.
"How to Get Away with Murder" season 3 will see Annalise continuing the job she loves, so fans could expect her to be involved in more court trials.
On the other hand, Game n Guide said although Michaela (Aja Naomi King) is still heartbroken and reeling from Caleb's (Kendrick Sampson) suicide, she won't be able to ignore the chemistry between her and Asher (Matt McGorry) any longer. However, Asher has been involved with Bonnie (Liza Weil) before. So it looks like an intriguing love triangle between the three could be one of the arcs for season 3.
The third season will also immediately reveal the identity of the person who killed Wes' (Alfred Enoch) father. Showrunner Pete Nowalk told Variety that Wes would handle the death better than fans would expect. He said what's worth anticipating is Wes' relationship with Annalise.
"The thing I'm really excited to explore now is what is his relationship with Annalise now. ... He has to decide whether to trust her. He's alone so I think there's a version where they grow much closer and they work together so that's what is really appealing to me right now."
"How to Get Away with Murder" season 3 returns this Fall to ABC.
