HTC 10 Evo specs, price and release date update: features scream innovation, competition and quality
HTC has just unveiled the newest handset that would cater to the needs of the consumers, the HTC 10 Evo. Those who have been searching for the perfect phone to fit their lifestyle should check out the handset's specs and all other pertinent details as the model comes with competitive features.
HTC 10 Evo has the same design with the HTC 10 flagship handset and also has the "sculpted-by-light" design that the company has been boasting ever since. However, it is larger than the HTC 10 with its 5.5-inch display, but is also installed with Gorilla Glass 5 for durability and protection. It has the same QHD resolution with the flagship device.
Under the hood, HTC 10 Evo is packed with Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB of random-access memory and 32 GB of internal memory. The built-in memory can be further expanded by up to a whopping 256 GB via a microSD card.
One of the most talked-about features is the BoomSound Adaptive technology that allows the handset to automatically adjust to its environment. Its adjustment depends on the ambient sound or noise of the surroundings. And since the traditional headphone jack has been ditched by Google Pixel and iPhone 7, HTC 10 Evo jumped into the bandwagon by also adopting such feature.
Yes, there is no headphone jack found on the device and instead, a USB adaptive earphone is put in place. The port comes with a fingerprint sensor, which the company boasts of a 0.2 second response time. The sensor can also be used to lock apps.
Other features include a 3,300-milliampere-hour (mAh) battery, which can last for one whole day on a single, full charge. HTC 10 Evo also has an IP57 certification waterproof feature, allowing the device to withstand being soaked for 30 minutes in 1 meter of water, without any damage to it. Last but not the least, it comes with a 16MP rear camera with Phase-Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilization support and f/2.0 BSI sensor. The front 8MP camera has front-facing flash.
