Huawei Honor 8 release date and specs updates: Impressive smartphone expected to arrive in US in August
The upcoming Huawei Honor 8 has recently received the Federal Communications Commission or FCC certification. The smartphone is said to come out anytime soon with impressive specs and features for a reasonable price of $300.
According to a report by Scoop Everyday, the Huawei Honor 8 will carry high-end specifications to provide better customer experience. The Chinese tech giant has been trying to develop a new smartphone that would perform better than its predecessor. The handset has all the tools that can easily compete with the top brands in the market today at a pretty decent price.
The smartphone is expected to come with 5.2-inch screen with full HD panel. It runs on HiSilicon Kirin 950 platform, which assures users quality graphics performance. The powerful octa-core processor, which has a speed of 2.3 GHz, will be paired with either 3 or 4 GB of RAM for multitasking.
According to reports, the Huawei Honor 8 will arrive in two variants – the one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage capacity, while the other version has 64 GB of storage and runs on 4 GB of RAM.
The highly anticipated handset will also be pre-loaded with an Android 6.0 Marshmallow. There is still no report if the device will get the Android N update once the new Google software is already available.
Other features of the upcoming smartphone include a Type-C USB port, a 3000 mAh removable battery, 4G LTE, NFC and a fingerprint scanner. It will also carry a 12 MP primary snapper equipped with Dual-LED flash and a Laser Autofocus. Meanwhile, the selfie shooter will be at 8 MP, which also has the LED flash.
The new Huawei Honor 8 is expected to arrive in the U.S. in August. The company is said to be holding an event on Aug. 16 for the launching in San Francisco.
