Chinese tech company Huawei has finally launched the Huawei Nova smartphone. First revealed during the IFA 2016 conference in Berlin, the device is now currently available for purchase in China.

According to reports, the device is decent enough even as a mid-ranger. However, it's noted that its price is a bit expensive if its competitors in the smartphone market are to be considered. It has a starting price of $310 and its higher model is priced at $355.

Nonetheless, the Huawei Nova is a scene-stealer in its own way. As detailed in GSM Arena, there are four color options available. There is Bright Moon White and Champagne Gold (with a black front panel) for the 3 GB RAM variant while there is Rose Gold and Champagne Gold (with both black and white front panels) for the 4 GB RAM version.

Reports also detailed that the device sports a full metal body with a curved side design. At the rear, one can find a fingerprint scanner while a speaker grille can be found at the bottom. USB-Type C ports can also be found below.

The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, which is unfortunately not really that fast in terms of loading time particularly in games. Moreover, there are two options for storage space. One is 32 GB while the other is 64 GB. A memory card slot is provided for further memory expansion.

The Huawei Nova also sports a 5-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. Its rear camera is 12 megapixels with a f/2.0 sensor while the selfie snapper is 8 megapixels. Powering the smartphone is a 3,020 mAh battery and its operating system fresh out of the box is Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Huawei's EMUI 4.1 UI.

There is no word yet on the availability of the device in other countries but interested consumers should watch out for more updates.
