The NetherRealm game studio has something more up their sleeves in the upcoming DC comic book-based video game "Injustice 2." In the latest trailer released for the much-anticipated game sequel to 2011's "Injustice," it was revealed that two of the main attractions of the "Suicide Squad" film will be joining the roster. They are seen sporting familiar costumes and tools that their movie counterparts have been wearing.

According to Game N Guide, game director Ed Boon's latest offering will be including Suicide Squad members Harley Quinn and Deadshot in the roster of playable characters for "Injustice 2." As for Harley, or Dr. Harleen Quinzel before being involved with The Joker, the iconic DC comic book villainess is shown sporting her well-known costume and arsenal that the long-time fans would easily recognize. Specifically, Harley Quinn is carrying a huge mallet in a particular scene of the new game trailer, something that the character has also donned in this year's "Suicide Squad." She will also be having her infamous pair of Hyenas and dual pistols to fight her opponents.

Interestingly, Harley's two canine companions had their fur colored to complement the character's uniquely sinister but clown-like appearance.

Meanwhile, Digital Spy reported that Deadshot, also known as Floyd Lawton, will be joining Harley Quinn in the new "Injustice 2" roster. The trailer shows the classic DC villain having his popular monocle and built-in gauntlet guns. According to Movie News Guide, Deadshot was already featured in the previous "Injustice" game title but only in a cameo appearance. This time around, Deadshot will be a playable character and will have a bigger role to play in the game's storyline. He is said to be a perfect asset in close-quarter combats. His superior set of skills and precision par with none will help him finish off his opponents easily.

Other heroes and villains confirmed to be in "Injustice 2" as playable characters are Blue Beetle, Supergirl, and the Red Hood version of Jason Todd.

"Injustice 2" is expected to arrive sometime in March 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
