Ed Boon, the creator of the popular video game "Mortal Kombat X," has recently revealed the inclusion of some characters in the upcoming sequel of "Injustice" during his recent interview with Game Informer.

Fans certainly have something to get excited about the forthcoming "Injustice 2" following the revelation of the game creator that the sequel will once again include another none DC Comics fighter. The original game featured the "Mortal Kombat" character Scorpion and the resurrected ninja became the most popular fighter in the game.

"I always think there's a novelty to it and there's a certain amount of people who think that when they see a guest character that it took the slot of a DC character that they wanted to have," the game creator explained. "But you know, Scorpion in Injustice was the most downloaded of all the characters. There was a coolness and a novelty factor to seeing the mixing of the things. Alien and Predator in Mortal Kombat X were the most downloaded of those, so I would be surprised if we didn't do any of that [in Injustice 2]."

Many fans are wondering who the next character will make it in the sequel of the fighting video game based on the fictional universe of DC Comics. However, Boon did not provide solid details about it. As of the moment, this has become a hot topic amongst players who are eager to know more about "Injustice 2." Nonetheless, Boon admitted that the company is definitely open to any suggestion coming from the players.

Meanwhile, in his Twitter post, Boon created a social media poll asking gamers as well as comic book fanatics who they want to be included in the second installment. Fans will have to choose between the three popular characters such as Blue Beetle, Captain Cold and Swamp Thing. As of the moment, majority of the fans would like to see Blue Beetle in the sequel.

The second installment of the video game, "Injustice," will come out in 2017.
