Injustice 2' release date news 2016: Big reveals at Gamescom
It is definitely going to be exciting for many fans who have been waiting for concrete details about "Injustice: Gods Among Us," the second installment of the title that first came out in April 2013.
The development and release of "Injustice 2," a product from game developer NetherRealm Studios, is getting interesting following a tweet from the game's official Twitter page. The post, which simply said "Tomorrow," came with an image that stated, "Gamescom: Stay tuned for reveals."
Gamescom, a yearly video game fair held in Germany, opens to the public on Aug. 18. Players who are hoping to get significant information about the upcoming fighting video game are advised to stay tuned.
After several unconfirmed reports, the game developer finally made an exciting announcement that the new "Injustice" title will be coming out in 2017.
The announcement also came with a new trailer for the game, which shows several expected characters such as Superman, Batman and Aquaman. The new game will also introduce a new character in the form of Supergirl, which should make it more exciting.
Since the announcement, several reveals have come out, including the announcement of other characters such as Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd, Blue Beetle and Wonder Woman. According to a report from GamenGuide, Red Hood has recently been confirmed to be included in the "Injustice" sequel as well.
Meanwhile, game director Ed Boon recently conducted a poll for fans as to whom they want to see most in the upcoming video game. It appears that majority of "Injustice" players would like to see Starfire in the sequel over Constantine and Black Manta.
