iOS 10.1 jailbreak release date, rumors: OS successfully hacked but not available to the public
A lot of hackers online have been trying to crack Apple's iOS 10.1 software ever since it went live, and one user by the name of Lucas Todesco has successfully hacked Apple's high security OS.
Todesco posted a picture of his jailbroken phone on his Twitter account (qwertyoruipz) which confirmed that Apple's iOS 10.1.1 can be jailbroken. Other hackers have been trying to get into the system for a while, but big names like Team TaiG have not been able to release any kind of update on the jailbreak status of the operating system.
Some have reported that eager users shouldn't expect Todesco's hack to find its way out in the open for public use, because hackers usually keep the jailbroken version for themselves. The take-away from Todesco's achievement is that the OS can be broken, and it's only a matter of time before other users will be able to get the jailbreak version of the iOS 10.1.
As previously reported, hacker group Pangu was said to have leaked a possible jailbreak of the iOS 10.1, but Pangu doesn't seem to want to make the cracked version of the OS available for the time being. It's possible that the hackers are still trying to perfect any bugs that they might have missed when they were trying to break into the phone.
Pangu is best known for being one of the first hacker groups to release jailbreak software for the iOS 9.3, so while they have yet to release anything for the iOS 10.1, fans can be hopeful that they will release it sometime soon.
Aside from the 10.1, Apple has reportedly released the beta version of the iOS 10.2, so the release of the jailbreak of the iOS 10 might be compromised sooner than expected.
There has been no official release of the jailbreak for the iOS 10.1.1.
