iOS 10 jailbreak release date news: iPhone 7 jailbroken; Pangu jailbreak still ways off?
The iOS 10 jailbreak is nowhere to be found yet, but it appears that it won't be needed in jailbreaking Apple's latest smartphone release, the iPhone 7.
Italian security researcher Luca Tedesco has managed to jailbreak the latest iPhone, allowing the device to run the newly rolled out iOS 10.0.1 along with Cydia version 1.1.26. He posted on Twitter an image showing a proof of his achievement.
However, Todesco is not keen on sharing his jailbreak secrets to the public, which is not shocking since he has done the same in his previous jailbreak feats.
He recently managed to jailbreak the iOS 10 on his iPad Pro without breaking a sweat. Before that, he took a crack at breaking into the final beta of the mobile operating system, which he already did.
As said in the past, a jailbreak for iPhone 7 was in the works although it is not the one from Todesco. An iOS 10 jailbreak software is separate and is being worked on by jailbreak development team Pangu.
Unfortunately, the team is yet to provide an update on the software after it announced it last July at the Mobile Security Conference.
Apple has already released iOS 10.0.1, which blocks jailbreak attempts and installed ones, which will make it harder for them. In fact, the company's little tweak is bound to push Pangu to do some tweaking on their software themselves.
It is unclear when a public iOS 10 jailbreak or an iPhone 7 jailbreak will see the light of day, but it appears that it will be much difficult to develop one.
With Apple doing its best to stop the hackers from churning out jailbreak tools, the chances of Pangu's iOS 10 jailbreak could be in jeopardy.
At the moment, jailbreak fans will have to wait and see what the China-based developers will come up with despite the serious pressure.
