The iOS 10 has been rolling out in several iPad and iPhone devices since Sept. 17, but it is noticeable that an iOS 10 jailbreak software has not yet been released. In the past few months, the beta versions of the iOS 10 have been reportedly jailbroken, one of them being the popular Italian hacker Luca Todesco. Unfortunately, according to the reports, Todesco is only interested in showing that the latest iOS version can still be jailbroken, having no plans to release the jailbreak tool that he used. The good news for now is that somebody may be on their way to launch the iOS 10 jailbreak tool, but it might take another software update for it to happen.

The Chinese hacker group, Pangu, is the one rumored to get close to releasing such jailbreak tool. As reported by Yibada, Pangu was among the first to successfully jailbreak the iOS 10 when they showed a Cydia application running on an iPhone with the iOS 10. While it is still not cofirmed if Pangu has already succeeded in jaibreaking the iOS 10 full version, many believe that the group is now getting close.

Apple may have been ahead of Pangu this time as they already released the first ever update for iOS 10. This would mean that Pangu has to exert extra effort in developing the jailbreak tool as Apple has appended new security features in the latest iOS 10 update. The iOS 10.0.1 update, however, is just minor and might not have crucial changes in the base iOS 10 version. After the iOS 10.0.1 is released, many are wondering if the iOS 10 jailbreak will follow shortly, although the public may have to wait for a major iOS update before Pangu will be able to release the jailbreak tool, Gotta Be Mobile reported. This is because Pangu does not want to release a jailbreak software that will soon be countered by Apple's upcoming major software update. Pangu is expected to release the iOS 10 jailbreak tool sometime between October and November.

As there is no officially functional iOS 10 jailbreak software on the internet today, users must be wary of the things posing as a legitimate iOS 10 jailbreak tool. These are more likely to be fake softwares that once dowloaded will only cause more harm than good on the users' devices.
