iOS 10 jailbreak release date, news, rumors: OS crack might be released sooner as $1.5M bounty is now being offered
The iPhone and iPad users today have started to look for a working jailbreak tool for the iOS 10. Weeks after Apple released the full version of the iOS 10, the known hackers and hacker groups today have not been updating the public regarding the development of the iOS 10 jailbreak software. In an interesting turn of events, the release of the jailbreak may happen sooner due to the reported bounty to be given to the first person who will release the said OS crack.
As reported by iTech Post, a $1.5M USD bounty is already being offered to anyone who will successfully develop the jailbreak software for the iOS 10. The person who made the offer is still anonymous, but this goes to show how desperate the users have become to have a working iOS 10 crack for their device. Nevertheless, this will put more pressure to the hackers to be the first to release a jailbreak tool for the iOS 10. Of course, no one can confirm if the person behind the bounty will push through with his offer once the iOS 10 jailbreak is already up.
The last hacker group to release a working jailbreak software is Pangu, but even the group or anyone else who have been successful in jailbreaking the iOS 10 beta has not spoken yet regarding the release of an iOS 10 jailbreak. They have been successful in releasing the jailbreak for the iOS 9.3.3 and 9.3.4, but it is still not clear if Pangu will also be successful with the iOS 10.
The jailbreak tool is used by the iPhone and iPad users to bypass the operating system's security measures and freely personalize the settings of their devices. However, this will not go easy for the hackers developing the crack for the iOS as Apple has been regularly releasing minor updates for the iOS 10 which may further strengthen the security measures of the operating system. Thus, it will be harder for the hackers to jailbreak the iOS 10.
Meanwhile, according to Game N Guide, a known Italian hacker, Luca Todesco, has been successful in jailbreaking the iOS 10 in an iPhone 7 device. He demonstrated the jailbreaking of the operating system through a video, and those who have seen it have higher hopes that the iOS 10 jailbreak tool will soon rollout. Unfortunately for those hoping for Todesco's hacking software, he stated that he is just focused on showing that Apple's latest iOS update can be jailbroken. There are no plans in the foreseeable future to release Todesco's iOS exploits on the internet.
