With Apple's continuous release of iOS 10 updates, members of the jailbreak community are now concerned if the jailbreak teams are still able to catch up with the iOS 10 versions. Pangu is in the news for being able to jailbreak the recent iOS, but they have not released any tool yet.

In an article by Neurogadget, Chinese jailbreak team Pangu is on the verge of releasing an iOS 10 jailbreak tool, though they did not announce any date. It is reported that the team is almost done with the tool and just waiting for the right time to release it to the public.

It is believed that Pangu will simultaneously launch their iOS 10 jailbreak tool with Apple's iOS 10.2 update, which is undergoing developer test at the moment. Apparently, Pangu wants to make sure that they got everything covered, especially with the latest iOS 10 version.

Pangu may have sparked hope to the jailbreak community, but it does not guarantee that a tool will come out. It could be noted that the latest jailbreak tool is for the iOS 9.3, which may have become obsolete already.

Every iOS owner may have upgraded their device to iOS 10 and it is very risky to downgrade an iOS just to jailbreak a device. It seems like the waiting game is still on, and it may continue for a long while.

Meanwhile, several hackers have already demonstrated how they are able to jailbreak a device even with the latest iOS 10, one of which is the popular Luca Todesco, who also shared a video of how he was able to successfully jailbroke a device running on iOS 10. However, he does not plan to release his tool to the public.

It could be considered that Apple's efforts to tighten the security measures of their iOS are successful. Though there are certain security risks still seen by testers, it is apparent that no jailbreak tool is effective to penetrate the OS.
