iPad Pro 2015 Release Date, Rumors: Leak Points To 12 Plus-Inch iPad Pro In The Making
There has been no official word yet from Apple about an iPad with a humongous 12 plus-inch screen, but this has not stopped online rumors about such a device coming out soon. The latest rumor claimed that a factory in China has created a mold for its back panel.
The leak about the mold came along with a photograph showing details such as an Apple logo and a rear camera. However, the image was of bad quality and nothing else could be discerned from it.
Soon after the photo was spotted on Weibo, Macrumors said the mold could be used for creating dummy units for other manufacturers. It could also be based on accurate information leaked from Apple's supply chain, the website said.
The size of the mold indicates that the upcoming version of the iPad Pro could have a 12-inch to 12.9-inch display.
Last year it was widely reported that Apple had decided to push back the launch of the big screen iPad because it wanted to churn out more units of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to satisfy increased demand. As a result of the delay, many expect that Apple will launch the iPad Pro sometime between April and June of 2015.
Another major leak about the iPad Pro came from NowhereElse.fr, and it also featured an image of the device. In the schematics, more details of the device were seen. It revealed that the iPad Pro would come with speaker holes that would be arranged next to its power button. It will also have additional speaker holes on its other side.
An earlier leak reported last month also hinted that iPad Pro could have a 12.2-inch liquid-crystal-display – smaller than the earlier 12.9 screen that other sources had alleged. As for its processor, most rumors have indicated that the iPad Pro will come with the Apple A9.
