iPhone 6 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Review: Specs, Features Comparison - Hard To Pick A Winner
The iPhone 6 Plus is Apple's answer to Samsung's Galaxy Note 4. When these two premium tablets are pitted against each other, it is hard to pick a winner. For many users, however, the Note 4 is a better device.
Starting with design, it is clear that Samsung has done a lot of work to improve the Note 4. It has a metal band around its edge, and its back panel is made from faux leather which makes it great to hold. The iPhone 6 Plus has the traditional unibody aluminum build that Apple devices have.
Coming to displays, the iPhone 6 Plus has a smaller 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 401pixels per inch. The Note 4 has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a pixel density of 515 pixels per inch. In terms of screen to body ratio, the iPhone 6 Plus comes with 67.8 percent while the Note 4 has 74.2 percent.
The Note 4 makes use of its bigger screen better as it allows for apps to run in split-screen mode and even in pop-up windows. It also has an S Pen stylus which is very easy to use.
As for their platforms, the iPhone 6 Plus comes with the iOS 8 operating system, the Apple A8 chipset, dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone CPU and PowerVR GX6450 GPU. The Note 4 has the Android KitKat operating system, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU. The Note 4 has 3GB of RAM while the iPhone 6 Plus has 1GB.
Comparing their cameras, the Note 4 has a 16 megapixel version while the iPhone 6 Plus has an 8 megapixel camera. Another major difference is that the Note 4 has a microSD slot while the iPhone 6 Plus does not include one.
Finally in terms of price, the 16GB iPhone 6 plus is priced at $299 with a two-year contract, while the 32 GB Note 4 is priced at $299 also with a two-year contract.
