iPhone 6 vs LG G Flex 2 Comparison: Curved G Flex 2 is Faster But Trails in Terms of Design
The iPhone 6 is still selling well even though it was released over six months ago and lags behind other devices, such as the LG G Flex 2, in terms of speed and specs. Here is how the two devices compare.
Design
The G Flex 2 is fashioned with a different design philosophy and has a body that curves from top to bottom. The curvature of the phone means only plastic is used on its body. Its plastic back panel has a self-healing coating that can clear minor scratches within 15 seconds. As for the iPhone 6, it has a metal unibody with rounded edges, giving it a premium look. It also has a fingerprint sensor which its competitor lacks.
Display
In terms of display size, the G Flex 2 is bigger as it has a curved P-OLED screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 403 pixels per inch. The iPhone 6 has an IPS LCD screen measuring 4.7 inches with a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels and a density of 326 pixels per inch.
Specs
The hardware of the G Flex 2 makes it much faster than its competitor. The G Flex 2 comes with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, along with an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and four Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 2 GHz, and an Adreno 430 GPU. As for the iPhone 6, it has an Apple A8 processor, a dual-core Cyclone GPU clocked at 1.4 GHz and a PowerVR GX6450 GPU.
Memory
The iPhone 6 does not have a memory slot while the G Flex 2 has one. The slot can be used to add up to 128 GB of external storage. In terms of RAM, again the G Flex 2 is ahead, with its 16 GB model having 2 GB and its 32 GB model having 3 GB compared to the 1 GB on the iPhone 6.
Camera
The G Flex 2 has a much better camera in its 13-megapixel version with optical image stabilization. The iPhone 6 has an 8-megapixel camera.
Price
The16 GB LG G Flex 2 costs $299 with a two-year contract, while the 16 GB iPhone 6 costs $199 with a similar contract.
