iPhone 7 release date, specs rumors update: Apple expected to hold launch party for iPhone 7
Many Apple iPhone fans are certainly excited to get their hands on the smartphone's next generation device, which will reportedly be rolled out on Sept. 16.
Previous reports suggested that the Cupertino-based company is going to host an iPhone 7 event on Sept. 7 to launch the new flagship smartphone, along with other Apple devices.
According to Bloomberg, the new iPhone 7 will definitely be available for preorder on Sept. 9, two days after its rumored launching.
"Apple will launch the iPhone 7 at an event on September 7th... What's more September 7th ties in perfectly with news last month from Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) that pre-orders for the iPhone 7 will begin on September 9th, with a subsequent release date of September 16th," the publication stated in its report, as posted by Forbes.
There have been speculations suggesting that Apple does not have any plans of making major changes with the design and specs under the hood of the new iPhone 7. Nonetheless, the device will certainly come out with better features than the current iPhone 6S. It has been rumored that Apple's main upgrades will focus on the iPhone 8, which is said to come out in 2017.
Meanwhile, Learn Bonds reported that the new iPhone 7 will be running on an A10 processor. The new chips should be faster than the current A9 of the iPhone 6. The device will also carry a new operating system, which is the iOS 10. The software was announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2016 held last June.
Despite the rampant rumors of its release this September, Apple has yet to provide significant information with regard to its roll-out date. Fans are advised to take these reports with a grain of salt until the company issues an official statement.
