iPhone 7 Rumors: Release Date Likely in September 2015
With only a little over a month after the release of the iPhone 6, rumors of Apple's next phone, dubbed as "iPhone 7," have already started to swirl.
Based on the previous Apple smartphone releases, it is safe to say that the release is roughly 11 months from now, which will be in Sept. 2015.
By the way things are going for Apple phones, an iPhone 6S release is more likely to happen sooner. However, unconfirmed news has it that Apple will soon drop the "S" series following negative comments from consumers.
Another rumored guess is that the next Apple phone will be called the "iPhone Air," according to Mac World. However, with the recent "iPhone bend" issues still fresh, it's unlikely that Apple is planning an even slimmer version of its smartphone. "Air" versions are known to be lightweight and slim.
As for the features of the anticipated "iPhone 7," Apple users and fans expect it to have at least a 4.7" screen, which is the current size of iPhone 6. With the Apple 6 Plus garnering negative reviews, it is also likely that the company will permanently do away with the larger versioned iPhones entirely. That or Apple may stick to the original plan of having two sizes for the iPhone.
Other features may include wireless charging, camera boost, an A9 processor and an iOS 9 for the operating system.
Another thing that Apple users are looking forward to is a change in material to make the phone more durable. The biggest challenge for Apple this year was when the iPhone 6 Plus was subjected to a "bend test," to which it failed by easily getting bended with just the squeeze of a person's hands.
