iPhone 8 release date, specs rumors 2016: Apple holds back better features from iPhone 7 to prepare for massive iPhone 8 launch?
The release of the iPhone 7 had been met with a lot of backlash from users because of the device's lack of an audio jack, leaving them with no choice but to use the AirPods. There have been rumors going around that Apple has been holding back some features of the iPhone 7 to prepare for the release of a better iPhone 8 next year.
According to Mirror, next year will mark the 10th anniversary of the iPhone and Apple will be planning something big to go along with it. The device was first announced by Steve Jobs himself back in 2007 and it was released on June 29 of that year.
A lot of people are already speculating on what to expect from the upcoming device, and some have been hoping that the phone will feature a dual-camera system. Much to their dismay, KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the dual-lens cam will be made available only for the bigger Plus model of the iPhone in 2017.
Some reports also said that the next iPhone will have an all-glass casing and a metal frame surrounding its edges. The phone is also reported to come with a curved OLED display screen and an Intel 7360 LTE modem. The phone will also have biometric features such as iris and facial scanning.
With the news of the iPhone 8 going around, some users have opted to skip the iPhone 7 in order to purchase the newer model next year. What good is a phone that will only be relevant for a year? The new phone is getting flak from the online community, so it's best for willing consumers to wait till Apple comes out with a more superior product.
The iPhone 8 is rumored to come out sometime next year.
