iPhone 8 release date rumors: Apple preparing the 'best' device for the iPhone's 10th anniversary
This year's release of the iPhone 7 has been met with divisive reception from the users. Rumors are saying that Apple is actually gearing up for a more superior device to come out in 2017. The reason for which is next year will mark the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, and Apple is said to release the iPhone 8.
Reports say that the phone will come with a faster A11 processor and an all-glass body feature; because of this, the iPhone 8 is said to have an edge-to-edge display, and it will likely not have a home button anymore. The device is also said to have the touch ID to embedded into the OLED display; the front camera of the phone is said to be embedded there as well.
The iPhone 8 is also said to come in three different versions. One will be the OLED model which will feature a dual curve display. The other two will be standard flat iPhones.
Speaking of the OLED display, it's also said that the OLED screens will be solely provided by South Korean tech company Samsung. With Samsung busy working on their own phones, some have said that they will not be able to meet the demands come 2017.
Apple's regular manufacturer Foxconn, however, is said to be the company behind the development of the glass casing technology that the iPhone 8 is supposed to have.
Apple is reportedly taking an unusually early head start when it comes to developing the iPhone 8. The iPhone 7 has not been even out for a month, and a lot of news surrounding its successor are already coming out.
Some fans have even opted to skip the purchase of the iPhone 7, opting to wait for the release of the iPhone 8 instead.
The iPhone 8 is expected to hit stores next year.
