2017 will mark the 10th anniversary for Apple's iPhone, and fans speculate that the upcoming iPhone 8 will be one of the most high-end phones that will be coming out next year. Apple just recently launched the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, but fans are already scouring the web for news on the iPhone 8.

Reports are saying that the iPhone 8 will be getting a redesigned home button — in other words, the classic home button will be forgone in lieu of a virtual home button with a Touch ID sensor. The device will also have front-facing sensors embossed on the display. These will also be included on the camera and the earpiece.

Some fans have pointed out that the upcoming device should be named the iPhone 7S, but since Apple is reportedly working on a "big and important" upgrade, the "7" title is said to be dropped for something else. Some are guessing that the upcoming device may be called the iPhone Pro, but as of now, everyone has named the 2017 device the iPhone 8.

It has also been speculated that 2017 will see the release of three iPhone models. There will be new 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models for the regular and Plus versions of the iPhone, acccording to a source of the Nikkei Asian Review. There will also be a "curved screen" version that will be "bent on two sides," making others think that it could rival Samsung's Galaxy Note 7.

No official specs have been released for the phone, but knowing Apple, they will have to come up with something that tops the specs of its predecessors in the series. As upgrades go, the iPhone 8 could be lighter, thinner, and sturdier than previous iterations.

There is no news, however, on whether the iPhone 8 will have an audio jack, or, like the iPhone 7, solely rely on wireless audio tech.

The iPhone 8 is speculated to come out in 2017.
