The cast and crew of "iZombie" are promising many good things and significant changes this upcoming season, but apparently, Ravi transforming into a zombie isn't one of them.

In the series, Ravi (Rahul Kohli) is level headed and peace-loving medical examiner who supplies Liv (Rose McIver) with the brains she needs to survive. However, there have been rumors that come the third season, Ravi will undergo a major transformation that would see him turn into a badass fighter "beyond recognition."

The speculations started spreading when Kohli posted a picture on Twitter showing him in a boxing ring with his physical trainer. Fans immediately assumed that Kohli is preparing for a big character transformation in "iZombie" season 3 as part of Ravi's coping mechanism after his falling out with his girlfriend Peyton (Aly Michalka).

Kohli has since shot the rumors down, but according to a report by TV Guide, he did give the assurance that his character will have a bigger story arc this season compared to the first two. He also said that more elements would be added to the medical examiner's character.

What is clear at this point is that Major (Robert Buckley) will become a complete zombie, with no traces of his human life left, once Ravi's vaccine wears off. Moreover, his recently acquired zombie abilities will be explored in season 3, and if the reports are spot on, he will be just like Liv who is able to adopt the "personality" of the brain she eats.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that "iZombie" season 3 will pick up right where the season 2 finale left off. So that means fans would find out what happens next after Liv discovers the truth about Vivian (Andrea Savage) and her zombie army, as well as her plans to make Seattle a zombie capital.

The CW hasn't announced an exact premiere date for "iZombie" season 3 yet, but creator Rob Thomas has announced on Twitter that it would be set for a mid-season premiere.

In the meantime, stay tuned for more updates and news about "iZombie" season 3.
