Jill Duggar, Derick Dillard Depart for Extended Missionary Trip

Reality television stars Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard recently departed for their planned, extended missionary trip, with one family member taking to social media to share their excitement for the couple.

The couple departed this week with infant son Israel for their missionary trip, and sister Jessa Duggar shared a photo of the couple in a warm embrace as they waited to board an airplane.

 "So excited for @jillmdillard & @derickdillard! They've been praying about and working towards this transition since late last year, and are so excited to finally be heading to the mission field!" Jessa Duggar shared on Instagram. "Please continue to pray for them!"

"Be sure to check out their blog at www.dillardfamily.com. 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.' Mark 16:15," Jessa added.

The couple revealed recently that they are planning to travel to an unknown destination for an extended missionary trip.

"Since we first began our relationship, it has always been our goal that Jesus Christ might be glorified as we serve others through family ministry, by whatever means that might be," Dillard wrote on the family's official website. "God has put a desire in our hearts to serve Him internationally for longer than the typical short-term mission trip, but we didn't know yet how God would fulfill that desire in us."

Although the couple has not revealed where they will be going, some fans have suggested that they are likely going to Nepal, where Dillard has had missionary experiences before.
