Josiah Duggar Breaks Four Month Courtship With Marjorie Jackson
Josiah Duggar of the well-known "19 Kids and Counting" reality show family has reportedly ended his courtship with Marjorie Jackson after four months.
The young couple, who reportedly courted for four months, broke off their relationship recently, as the Duggar family reported on Facebook.
"A few weeks ago Marjorie and Josiah agreed to end their courtship, keeping in step with what they believe the Lord's will is," Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar wrote on their Facebook page. "Both are thankful for the time getting to know each other, and their families continue to enjoy each other's company and close friendship. As parents we are very pleased to see two young people searching out their futures with God's will as their first priority!"
"Both Josiah and Marjorie have enjoyed getting to know each other and to build their friendship over the past months," they added. "We are so grateful that they each are seeking the Lord's will for their future."
Josiah previously told People magazine that Marjorie "caught [his] eye" when he traveled to El Salvador on a mission trip in 2014.
"It's been going very well," Josiah told the magazine earlier this year. "I met Marjorie a few years ago when I was taking Spanish lessons at her house and I was very impressed with the way she was with her siblings and her love for the Lord."
The Duggar family recently decided to cancel their "19 Kids and Counting" reality show following the public revelation that Josh Duggar, son to Michelle and Jim Bob, had molested multiple underage girls when he was in his teen years, including two of his sisters.
