Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be joined by "The Get Down" star Justice Smith in "Jurassic World 2."

The casting news was announced by The Hollywood Reporter, which also claimed that "A Monster Calls" director J. A. Bayona will helm the sequel to the 2015 blockbuster hit sci-fi adventure movie under the "Jurassic Park" film franchise.

The report also stated that the filming will begin in England sometime in spring.

Smith is known for portraying the role of the smart teenager named Ezekiel Figueroa in Baz Luhrman's web musical drama, "The Get Down," that was released on Netflix. He also appeared in the film adaptation of John Green's young adult novel "Paper Towns," which starred Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Colin Trevorrow posted a joke on Twitter for actress Bryce Dallas Howard regarding the footwear of choice for her character Claire Dearing for "Jurassic World 2."

Trevorrow's tweet was accompanied by a collage of women's boots which Howard could wear in the upcoming sequel. This is very different from Claire's high-heeled footwear during the previous film.

Claire's high-heels were highly talked about when "Jurassic World" was released because moviegoers found it odd to see someone running around using that kind of shoes. Howard even acknowledged the running joke about her character in an interview with The Huffington Post.

"Oh my gosh! It's my favorite stuff, just the GIFs online. I mean, did you see the really funny thing where it had everyone from the previous film, including the dinosaurs, wearing heels? That was hilarious," the actress stated. "It's obviously something totally unexpected, and I have a running joke for the rest of my life perhaps. I can be one of those people that's constantly referencing it, even 80 years from now."

"Jurassic World 2" is expected to premiere in theaters worldwide on June 22, 2018.
