Duchess Kate Middleton has begun planning for the birth of her second child. She is expected to welcome the arrival of the baby in late April.

Prince William's wife, who is already in the last trimester of her pregnancy, has opted to hire another nanny to help out in looking after Prince George's younger sibling.

This is different from her first pregnancy, when she chose to do everything by herself and was hesitant about hiring a nanny.

Things changed, however, when Prince George arrived and she had to hire help so she can fulfill her royal duties.

According to Perez Hilton's website, a source close to the royal family said Carole Middleton, the duchess' mother, will also help in taking care of the second baby.

Middleton has also been spending a lot of quality time with Prince George before her due date.

"She will be mindful that this will be one of the last opportunities for sole 'George time,'" Sarah Dixon, a maternity nurse who worked with friends of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, told People Magazine.

The mother and child have reportedly spent time together before Christmas at Winter Wonderland in London's Hyde Park to enjoy a ride in rotating tea cups. The mother-and-child tandem also met with Santa Claus during their day out.

One onlooker was quoted by Perez Hilton as saying: "George was smiling and laughing as they went 'round and 'round together. He was really enjoying the ride with his mom. You could see it in his little face – he looked so happy. They only had one go on the ride, and then off they went. Kate was so polite and normal looking. I don't think anyone even noticed that they were there."

Last September, the Duchess and Prince William announced that they were expecting their second child this year.
