'Kingdom Hearts 3' release date, news: New characters and gameplay to be featured in new trailer at E3 2016?
"Kingdom Hearts 3" developer Square Enix has neither made any confirmation on the release date of the role-playing game (RPG) nor has it announced that the new promo trailer will be coming out during the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016. However, speculations run rampant among fans who are in great anticipation that the game release announcement as well as that of the new trailer are highly possible at the E3 event which will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Square Enix is said to be wrapping up its preparation of the new trailer for the crossover RPG to make the E3 2016. The trailer to be featured at the E3 is said to show for the first time the new characters that will make it into the newest version of "Kingdom Hearts."
The new characters may include those from "Big Hero 6," "Tangled," and "Hercules." Fans speculate the trailer would show Sora, Donald, and Goofy meeting up with characters from the said Disney worlds. Of the worlds mentioned, "Tangled" has been confirmed by no less than Tetsuya Nomura, the game director. He explained that the uniqueness of the hair feature of Rapunzel is something they wanted to get right before attempting the release. "Frozen" was also speculated to be featured, but Nomura has not commented on the possibility.
The game's release date, however, for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is not as clear since another RPG is scheduled to release this September. The rumor is that next year would be the earliest possible release for "Kingdom Hearts 3," which is not soon enough for its excited fans.
The developer has taken its time to release this much-awaited video game considering it first came out with news on its next iteration in 2013. It has been quite a while, and so it is no surprise that fans are said to be shaking with anticipation for the next "Kingdom Hearts" installment.
Despite all the fanfare about the upcoming E3 event, a group of video game enthusiasts, The Koalition, has signified their disagreement on the speculation that information on the game's release and the new trailer will be revealed at the event. Jakejames Lugo, the senior editor of the group, has said that fans are bound to wait longer for the unveiling of the game as it will not be at this year's E3. He did not, however, question the possible release early next year.
This points to the greater possibility that the game release on the mentioned platforms will happen in early 2017, all the more because Square Enix has already prepared for the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra Tour touted for March 10 to June 24, 2017. This means that the game release is positive before March 10 next year, something no doubt fans are rejoicing for.
