'Left 4 Dead 3' release date, news, update: Is the third sequel still coming?
"Left 4 Dead" fans all have one thing in common. They are wondering if Valve Corporation is ever going to release a "Left 4 Dead 3." It's been seven years already since the last game but until now there is no word about it.
According to reports, Valve has kept quiet about releasing new games this year or even in the coming years. No one has solid information on whether they are working on something new or they have decided to just drop the franchise for good. There are no reports of an upcoming "Half-Life 3" as well so several are starting to think that there is nothing to look forward from Valve at this point.
However, there are still some who are hoping that "Left 4 Dead 3" will come because of a leaked screenshot from Valve employee Tristan Reidford. Reports said that Reidford posted a screenshot of a tutorial for the Destinations Workshop tool. But aside from the main subject of the image, spectators spotted an important clue.
At the corner of the screenshot was a folder labeled "left4dead3." This quickly sparked speculations that the game is in development and Valve is working on it despite the apparent silence. The image did not last long though as it was taken down and replaced with another one.
Avid fans are thrilled with the leaked information even though nothing is really certain yet. They can only hope and cross their fingers that the third sequel of the cooperative first-person shooter survival horror video game will come.
There are also rumors going around saying that if "Left 4 Dead 3" does come, it will have a more developed single player campaign compared to the last two. It's also said that there could be a time jump in the game plot and it could either be a time jump to the past or to the future.
As of now, nothing is confirmed so fans will have to stay tuned and watch out for updates on "Left 4 Dead 3."
