The second season of "Legends of Tomorrow" will have Stephen Amell guest-starring as Oliver Queen in the pilot episode. The team will fully realize their responsibility to the time stream and they must protect one of history's most famous mathematicians, Albert Einstein.

According to ComicBookMovie.com, the episode will also see the Green Arrow teaming up with Dr. Nate Heywood (Nick Zano) and going head-to-head with Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell).

This season is also said to feature the origins of the Legion of Doom. One of the images recently released by the network is that of Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough). He will be joined by the likes of Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), and Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher) to form the supervillain posse.

An appearance from Stephen Amell in the series is pretty significant given that Amell functions as the Tony Stark of The CW's DC Universe. Other than the fact that Oliver Queen and Tony Stark are handsome billionaire philanthropists, the two are also considered to be the pioneers of their respective franchises. "Iron Man" kicked off what is now the billion-dollar-earning Marvel Cinematic Universe, and "Arrow" is the series that started off an entire DC TV Universe which consists of heroes like The Flash, Supergirl and Constantine.

The next season of "Legends of Tomorrow" will also feature other heroes like Stargirl/Star-spangled Kid (Sarah Grey). Maisie Richardson-Sellers is also said to have a more prominent role as Vixen Prime this time around.

The series also stars Brandon Routh as The Atom, Caity Lotz as The White Canary, and Franz Drameh as Firestorm, among others.

The Green Arrow will join the time-traveling posse to help protect Alvert Einstein in the next season of DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" airs on Thursday, Oct. 13 only on The CW.
