There is a possibility that Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) brash decision in the season 2 finale of "The Flash" could have a profound effect on some of the characters of "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2. At least, that is what speculations seem to point to.

Fans of DC superheroes know that somehow, the roster of TV series from DC Universe is interconnected. There's "The Flash," "Legends of Tomorrow," "Supergirl," and "Arrow." Aside from being part of the DC Universe, those superhero TV shows all air on The CW network; thus, the chance of characters from one show crossing over to the other show is high.

So it's not surprising that the "Flashpoint" storyline, which is supposedly the arc for "The Flash" season 2, could affect characters from the above-mentioned series, including "Legends of Tomorrow's" Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill).

The said storyline, which was originally used in the comic book series of "The Flash," came into play when Barry decided to go back to the past to save his mother at the end of season 2. Barry's action changed the course of the future, including everything that happened in the first and second seasons of the show.

According to Comicbook.com, Rip could find himself trapped in the alternate "Flashpoint" universe and have a hard time finding a solution for the problem using his current skill set. Apparently, there's a difference in skill level between TV-version Rip and the one in the comic books, and this could give showrunners the signal they need to feature said story arc in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2.

Meanwhile, Caity Lotz, who plays Sara Lance/White Canary in the series, said she was looking forward to the crossovers now that The CW has upped the shared superhero universe to four.

In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Lotz shared that she wants to go head-to-head with Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) who is White Canary's sister and Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker). She also teased that Sara could have a new love interest, but it wouldn't be Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). Apparently, her new love interest would likely be another girl. Lotz is even hoping that it would be "Arrow's" Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law).

"Legends of Tomorrow" is returning for a second season on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
