'Lethal Weapon' season 1 episode 9 spoilers: Murtaugh and Riggs are in for a haunting Christmas
The holiday spirits will come to haunt the troublemaking duo of Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) and Riggs (Clayne Crawford) in the next episode of "Lethal Weapon."
The ninth episode of FOX's small screen reboot of "Lethal Weapon" finds Capt. Avery's (Kevin Rahm) precinct indulging in some holiday cheers that will be cut short by a Christmas tragedy. A brutal homicide that is linked to Eddie Flores (Raul Casso), who is the deranged nephew of an infamous drug lord with past ties to Riggs, forces the duo out of the celebrations and straight into the crime scene. How will Riggs' history with the suspect's uncle affect their investigation into the killing? Will this be Eddie's last crime, or will Murtaugh and Riggs be forced to postpone their Christmas completely to track their suspect down before somebody else turns up dead?
Aside from the case of the week, Riggs will also have to face haunting memories of his late wife, Miranda (Floriana Lima) and the past Christmases that they shared. Will these memories lead Riggs to pass up on Christmas this year, or will Murtaugh be able to give him some new and happier Christmas memories to keep despite the former's preoccupation with a neighbor's distasteful holiday decorations?
Additionally, the episode preview teases danger befalling Murtaugh's family in the form of an old man with a gun that takes Trish (Keesha Sharp) and the Murtaugh kids hostage. Who is this man and what does he want with the Murtaughs? Is this an attack aimed at Trish, or does the perpetrator hope to get something from Murtaugh?
Will this be a Christmas that the duo will never forget for good or bad reasons? Or will the man with the glock completely rob them of the chance to do something about the neighbors' obnoxious decors?
Titled "Jingle Bell Glock," episode 9 of "Lethal Weapon" season 1 will air on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
