LG G3 vs Droid Turbo Review: Specs, Price Comparison - Flagship LG Phone Takes On Powerful Motorola Device
The LG G3 is completely unlike the Motorola Droid Turbo, but in terms of specs they are both powerful devices and have helped their respective companies regain much of their prestige in the smartphone marketplace.
Design
The LG G3 might look like metal with its finish but is actually made from plastic. However, it has a beautiful design with a curved back that allows it to be easily held. Another outstanding feature of the phone is its slim bezels. As for the Droid Turbo, Motorola opted to use a strict almost militaristic style when creating it. It also has a plastic frame and is sold with either a back panel made from Kevlar or ballistic nylon.
Display
Display is where both devices look great. The Droid Turbo comes with a Super AMOLED screen measuring 5.2 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 565 pixels per inch. The LG G3, on the other hand, has a bigger IPS LCD screen measuring 5.5 inches with resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and density of 538 pixels per inch.
Specs
In terms of specs, the LG G3 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU, while the Droid Turbo has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU.
Memory
When comparing their RAM, the 16 GB version of the LG G3 comes with 2 GB while the 32 GB version has 3 GB. As for the Droid Turbo, both its 32 and 64 GB versions come with 3 GB of RAM. However, the Droid turbo does not have a memory card slot while the LG G3 has this feature which can be used to add external storage of up to 128 GB.
Battery
The battery on the Droid Turbo is a huge 3900 mAh version which can last for 48 hours while the LG G3 has a 3000 mAh version.
Price
The Droid Turbo costs $199 with a two-year contract while the LG G3 is priced at $149 with a similar contract.
