The LG G4 is all set to debut on April 28 in events that will take place in London, New York and Paris. The next day it will be released in Seoul, Singapore and Istanbul.
In the build-up to the release, LG has come out with a video showcasing the LG UX 4.0 skin on the device.
Pictures of the skin and its capabilities were featured in the video. Among the improvements cited is the Smart Notice feature, which tracks daily movements like jogging and then provides relevant information such as a weather report to users.
The latest edition of the skin, which is layered over the Android Lollipop, also features a revamped calendar which will allow users to create drag-and-drop reminders for events.
The photo gallery on the UX 4.0 also groups photos according to events and their locations when the Expert Camera Mode is turned on.
Other new photography features include Quick Shot. This feature allows the camera to be launched by double clicking on the volume button situated at the back. This works even if the phone is locked. Using it, people can take photos faster.
As for the specs on the LG G4, the company reportedly plans to use a Snapdragon 808 chipset along with 3GB RAM. Coming to its display, it was revealed during benchmark testing that the phone will have a 5.5-inch QHD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 538 pixels per inch.
LG also plans to include a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera on the smartphone.
As for the design of the device, in spite of rumors that it could be radically different and curved like the G Flex 2, the company has not revealed any details officially and only hinted that the phone could have natural leather in different shades on its back panel.
