The Note 4 from Samsung might be a tad bigger than the LG G4, but there is no denying the fact that the device from LG has better specs. As for features, however, the Note 4 still has an edge. Here is a comparison between the two devices.
Design
Samsung used many of its traditional design elements in the Note 4, which comes with a faux leather back panel and a plastic body wrapped around a metal frame. It also has a major advantage in the form of its S-Pen stylus, which allows for precise data entry and drawing on the screen. As for the LG G4, it is made from plastic and has the same material with patterns on its back panel. The phone also has a subtle curve extending from top to bottom on its body which makes it easier to use when calling. LG also offers users a number of dyed color choices for the phone's leather back panel.
Display
The Note 4 comes with a super AMOLED screen measuring 5.7 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 515 pixels per inch. As for the LG G4, it comes with an IPS LCD screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 538 pixels per inch.
Specs
The LG G4 has better specs as it was released just recently. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset, a CPU with two Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.44 GHz and an Adreno 418 GPU. Compared to this, the Note 4 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, a quad-core Krait 450 CPU clocked at 2.7 GHz and an Adreno 420 GPU.
Memory
Both devices have memory slots which allow for the addition of up to 128 GB of external storage. Both also have 3 GB RAM.
Camera
Both devices have 16 megapixel shooters at their rear with optical image stabilization. However, the LG G4 has a better 8 megapixel camera in front compared to the 3.7 megapixel frontal version on the Note 4.
Price
The Galaxy Note 4 is priced at $299 with a two-year contract while the LG G4 could cost around $199 with a similar contract.
