At the currently ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES), LG introduced its new Super UHD TVs with Nano Cell technology that provides the most realistic images, highly accurate color reproduction and features wider viewing angles.

"Our 2017 SUPER UHD TV lineup with LG's proprietary Nano Cell technology is a breakthrough in display technology that advances the LCD TV viewing experience to a level unlike any other. Nano Cell is another example of how LG is innovating and pushing the boundaries of display technology to meet the evolving needs of our customers," said Brian Kwon, president of LG Home Entertainment Company.

According to LG, Nano Cell LCD displays employ uniformly-sized particles to ensure that colors are more subtle and accurate in larger high-resolution TVs. With LG's new Super UHD TVs, users will find that there is no difference in the viewing quality regardless of whether they are sitting directly in front or watching from a 60-degree angle.

Light-absorbing properties also enhance the colors displayed on the screen, rendering each color exactly as intended by the content provider. Nano Cell technology minimizes instances of color fading, image instability and other color degradation issues as well. Furthermore, improved ULTRA Luminance technology makes sure that images are bright and crisp.

LG's third-generation lineup of Super UHD TVs is comprised of three models: SJ9500, SJ8500 and SJ8000. While all three models feature an Ultra Slim design, the 55-inch SJ9500 is the most notable as it is only 6.9 mm at its thinnest point. This makes it look like the display is floating on air. All models are supported by a crescent-shaped stand but can also be mounted on the wall.

The 2017 Super UHD TV models also come with several other impressive features including Active HDR wherein users can enjoy HDR content across various formats, the latest webOS 3.5 Smart TV platform for viewing 4K content on demand and powerful audio capabilities. These ensure that customers every viewing need and expectation will be met.

LG has not yet announced pricing and availability for its new Super UHD TVs.
