LG to release new midrange smartphones in early 2017
LG will have a busy year ahead as it releases its latest product lines in the first quarter of 2017.
The South Korean mobile phone manufacturer is planning to unveil the second-generation models of several midrange smartphones under the K- and the X-series.
A report from Venture Beat revealed that four K-series models will debut in early January during the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NV between Jan. 5 and 8. The new handsets include the 4.5-inch LG K3 2017, which will have five-megapixel primary camera with two-megapixel (MP) secondary shooter and 2,100-milliampere-hour (mAh) battery, and the 4.7-inch K4 2017 that has 8MP rear camera with 5MP front-facing camera and 2,500mAh battery.
The LG K8 2017 and the LG K10 2017 are also coming out during the upcoming CES event. The former comes with a 5.0-inch high-definition (HD) display screen with a 13MP main shooter and 5MP secondary camera. The latter, on the other hand, has a 5.5-inch HD display screen with a bigger 4,500mAh battery.
The LG Stylus 3 that was known as the Stylo 3 plus phablet in the United States, as well as a brand-new model called the LG X calibur, will also be released during the event. The 5.7-inch phablet comes with 32 GB of read-only memory (ROM), a digital pen, 13MP main camera and 5MP selfie camera with front and rear flashes, as well as a fingerprint reader. On the other hand, the new LG X calibur comes with a military-standard durability and water and dust resistant features.
Meanwhile, the LG X power 2 is slated to debut during the 2017 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain on Feb. 27 to March 2. The LG X power 2 is expected to be equipped with a 5.5-inch HD display and 13MP rear camera and wide-angle 5MP front-facing selfie camera.
More details about the upcoming LG Mobile devices are expected to be released during the said event.
