Macbook Air 2016 release date, specs rumors: Apple CEO confirms a fall release date
A lot of fans were disappointed when Apple didn't bring any news regarding the MacBook Air on Sept. 7 but fans can expect an update on the device sometime in October.
According to BGR, Apple CEO Tim Cook has hinted that the tech giant will be launching new products this fall. This will reportedly include a new MacBook Air. A lot of fans have been doubting the future of Apple's Mac series but Tim Cook has went on to say that the company has more devices in line for the future. He says, "I love the Mac, and we are very committed to it."
There have been no official specs released by Apple themselves, but a lot of speculation has been coming up about the device. The new MacBook Air is said to have a C-Type USB Port and a retina display. The device is also said to have Siri integration and a touch ID fingerprint sensor. The laptop may also run with Intel's Skylake processor or maybe the new Kaby Lake processor.
As for the price tag, it will depend on which version of the MacBook Air the user plans to purchase. A 13-inch version is said to be priced at $980. A 15-inch version is available as well, and it will cost $1,100.
A lot of readers should also remember that these are merely speculations, so they should take this news with a grain of salt.
Some Apple users are reportedly disappointed with the upgrades that have come with the MacBook Air 2016. They say that the update is very "minor" — an optional RAM upgrade in the standard 13-inch model — and that they are already waiting for the 2017 model to deliver more goods.
No official release date has been scheduled for the MacBook Air 2016, but some are positive that it will arrive this October.
