Big news for Apple fans as reports are circulating that the company has started pulling out the older MacBook Pro models from its retail stores across the United States. This new move from the Cupertino-based company could be an indication that something big is going to arrive and the speculations point to the all-new MacBook Pro 2016 notebook.

According to a report by Apple Insider, one of its retail stores in Austin, Texas has stopped selling the non-Retina MacBook Pro models. According to the publications, this was revealed by an employee who also said that it started last week. The same person also said that other stores across the country are also no longer selling these old laptops.

The non-Retina MacBook Pro launched four years ago. All other MacBook Pro notebooks that came out after that already have Retina displays, with the exception of the current MacBook Air laptops.

Apple Insider also added that someone who works at the Apple Store in New York City said that they normally persuade customers to buy the MacBook Pro models with Retina display because the old legacy MacBook Pro is going to be outdated soon. The same person also said that customers will save more money buying a refurbished MacBook Pro with Retina display than getting an old model with no Retina technology.

Meanwhile, if rumors prove to be true, fans might get the new 2016 MacBook Pro models anytime soon. Apple is expected to roll out the device in two variants – the 13-inch and 15-inch models.

Rumor has it that the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 will be slimmer and lighter compared to its predecessors. It will also carry an OLED touch-sensitive panel above the keyboard replacing the old function keys.

As of the moment, Apple has yet to provide solid details with regard to its development and release date. However, fans have already started to speculate that the device will be launched in October.
