One of the highly anticipated new devices from Apple this year is the 2016 version of MacBook Pro. While Apple has not yet confirmed the development of Mac Pro's new iteration, the rumors are rife that the new laptop model will be unveiled in the coming months.

There is no exact release date yet for the new MacBook Pro, although earlier reports suggested that the laptop may be released together with the new iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 2 in the big press event by Apple this September. However, as the press event will happen on Sept. 7 where the iPhone 7, Apple Watch 2 and the full iOS 10 version are all confirmed to be showcased, there is a possibility that Apple may find another date for the unveiling of the MacBook Pro 2016.

Gotta Be Mobile reported that while the Cupertino-based tech giant may unveil the new MacBook Pro on Sept. 7 along with their mobile devices, there is a chance that its release will be moved a month later. In the past, the new MacBook and iPhone products are unveiled on separate dates, so it is possible that this will also be the case with the releasing of the iPhone 7 and MacBook Pro 2016 this year.

If anything, the public can expect the new MacBook Pro in October, featuring a lot of improvements over its predecessor. Gotta Be Mobile also speculated that the laptop may now receive an extended battery life. It will also be run by the sixth generation of Intel processing chipset technology, Skylake. This processor is known to optimize the power consumption of the laptop while keeping its performance.

Perhaps the highlight of the 2016 MacBook Pro is the Touch ID unlocking functionality, plus a dynamic OLED function keys. The Touch ID feature has already been introduced in the iPhone and iPad models, and it will now be present in the new Mac Pro version. It will allow the users to increase their laptop's security measure with a built-in fingerprint scanner. Also, the new MacOS Sierra will now include the popular virtual assistant Siri to the Apple laptops, Apple Insider reported.
