Microsoft Surface Book 2 release date, specs rumors: Launch delayed, pushed back to 2017?
With a lot of people eagerly anticipating the release of the Microsoft Surface Book 2, the final release date remains to be a mystery.
However, according to some reports, Microsoft is gearing up for a device they can release this year and may be a good alternative to the Surface Book 2.
As reported by Vine Report, Microsoft may release the alternate device in the third quarter of the year.

Also known as AIO, Microsoft believes this computer will be able to cover all the needs of users -- from casual users to hardcore and professional ones.
DigiTimes also claims that this will be the case as there have been problems in the delivery of the parts of the Surface Book 2.
Regarding the Surface Book 2, the availability has been pushed back to the first half of 2017.
According to Ecumenical News, Microsoft is welcoming the delayed release as it wants to ensure that there is no problem once the Surface Book 2 releases. The outlet said that another reason for the delayed release will feature the Windows 10 Redstone 2 operating system update.
Many believe that the new device will be shipped out with the latest version of the OS, and with the update said to be available by early 2017, it will automatically affect the release of the device as well.
However, The Bit Bag noted the recent price drop of the Surface Pro 5 could mean that the company is preparing for the arrival of the Surface Book 2.
Amid all these speculations, Microsoft has yet to release an official statement. With that, fans and hopeful users should stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming Surface Book 2.
