Microsoft Surface Book 2 release date rumors and news: Alleged Surface Book 2 image appears on Instagram?

People have been anticipating the next big release from Microsoft. Rumor has it that the company is preparing to launch three devices this year or in 2017—the Surface Phone, Surface Pro 5 and the much-awaited Microsoft Surface Book 2. While tech observers are predicting how the next Surface Book 2 would look like, Microsoft suddenly dropped the bomb by posting an alleged image of the laptop on its official Surface Instagram.

The teaser photo, which says "Surface your key to success," shows a laptop that has a different design from the current Surface Book device in the market. Microsoft appears to have eliminated the Surface Book hinge that the company introduced when the first model came out in October 2015. Apparently, the American software giant will make significant changes in its Surface Book 2 design. The recent photo gave everyone the idea on what to expect once the device hits the shelves.

The photo was first spotted by Windows Central who said that the all black laptop looks similar to that of the Surface Book, albeit its noticeable changes including the hinge. According to the publication the hinge that the company created was one of the amazing features of the device when it came out. It appears that Microsoft is going to take a different approach to the upcoming Surface Book 2.

Microsoft has yet to provide significant details with regard to the development of the new Surface Book model. However, it has already been speculated that the company will remove the hinge from its design.

Meanwhile, according to Vine Report, Microsoft surface Book 2 will arrive packed with advanced specifications and impressive features. The publication said that the new Microsoft laptop may come out with Intel's upcoming Kaby Lake processor. Its powerful chipset will allow the device to support 4K Ultra HD viewing.

Rumor has it that Microsoft Surface Book 2 will be launched in 2017.
