The new Microsoft hybrid laptop is said to carry an amazing display technology that supports 4K viewing with an Ultra HD Display. It is also said to carry a much-improved battery system, which has been an issue with the current Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

According to The Country Caller, the next generation Surface Pro laptop from Microsoft will run on Intel's next generation processor, the Kaby Lake. Although the company has yet to provide the official details of the device's specifications, there are rumors circulating that the powerful processor will be paired with 16 GB of RAM along with a 512 GB internal storage capacity. Moreover, the device will also have a better graphics technology compared to its predecessor. There are speculations suggesting that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will carry NVIDIA's Pascal or the latest Polaris GPU from AMD.

There are also reports saying that Microsoft will finally replace the AAAA battery-powered stylus with its new Surface Pen.

If Microsoft decides to release the hybrid laptop before the year ends, it will certainly go head to head with Apple's new MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016 in the market. Rumor has it that Apple will launch its new laptops at the scheduled company event on Sept. 7.

Meanwhile, according to a report by MNR, Intel would not be shipping out its new Kaby Lake processor anytime soon. Nonetheless, the new chipset has already been announced by the company. According to the publication, the powerful processor is not going to be available until late this year.

If Microsoft decides to release the new Surface Pro 5 in October, it may not carry the new Intel processor.
