Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date, news, specs rumors: Device's cutting edge features to include 4K PixelSense display?
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is rumored to arrive spring next year, and the 2-in-1 laptop will reportedly have new features that could easily outmatch other tech giants.
According to Learn Bonds, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella mentioned that the trend for gadgets has become monotonous over the recent years, pushing tech companies to come up with their own style in technology. Microsoft has already made a distinction with its concept of 2-in-1 laptops, but the Redmond-based company is reportedly planning to introduce more cutting-edge features for their upcoming devices.
Reports say that the Surface Pro 5 will have the latest version of Windows 10, known as Redstone 3. Under the hood, the laptop's processor is speculated to be the much-discussed Kaby Lake from Intel. The core processor is expected to make the Surface Pro 5 a more quiet device because it uses less power. The Surface Pro 5 will also have an outstanding quality of display with its rumored high-resolution feature. It is believed to come in two variants: the 2K and 4K PixelSense display. A longer battery life, Surface Pen, and detachable display are also expected from Microsoft Surface Pro 4's predecessor. In addition, it will come with USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 ports, along with 16GB RAM plus an internal storage of 512GB.
Although most of the laptop's key features are still being kept under wraps, Microsoft has previously revealed that they are planning to put more focus on helping working millennials who are always on the go. "The digital revolution is changing the traditional workplace environment, making us more reliant on our peers to share knowledge and work together; while more people are working remotely and need to be productive from anywhere," Microsoft said in a blog post, adding, "And, the workforce demographic is shifting towards millennials who are more collaborative, multi-task more, and use multiple devices."
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is said to be priced around $899, but the company has yet to release official details.
