'Minecraft' DLC news update: Mash-up pack for ultimate 'Fallout' experience
"Fallout 4" may no longer be getting new downloadable content (DLC) but the game is coming to the Mojang sandbox game, "Minecraft," in the form of an exciting mash-up pack.
"In a flash of brilliance not unlike nuclear fusion itself, Minecraft will soon be melded with Fallout, Bethesda Softworks' much-loved, post-apocalyptic RPG series," Mojang announced on its website.
"So strap on your thickest welding goggles and keep your eyes on the horizon for the mash-up pack's radiant arrival on Console Edition in the coming days. Or lie under a table. Whatever makes you feel calmer," they went on to say.
Bethesda Game Studios and Mojang teamed up to make "Minecraft" an "irradiated wasteland" where "Fallout" players will feel at home in.
Locations and characters from Bethesda's mega popular series will be brought to "Minecraft" through the highly-anticipated DLC pack.
Cows get second heads while spiders with "brutal stingers" become bigger. The infamous locations such as Capitol building and Tenpenny Tower welcome new creatures like ghouls, mutants and madmen.
To complete the "Fallout" experience, the "Minecraft" DLC will also come with 44 skins based on beloved characters from the Bethesda games. These include Fawkes, Nick Valentine, Tinker Tom, Paladin Cross, Jangles the Moon Monkey and the ever popular Vault Boy.
Last but not the last, the DLC will make it look like "Minecraft" players are in a "Fallout" game by recreating the user interface (UI) into the Pip-Boy.
There will also be soundtrack from the "Fallout" installments to boot so "Minecraft" will definitely bring the ultimate experience for fans of one of Bethesda's biggest franchise.
The "Minecraft: Fallout" DLC will be priced at $5.99 on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
A release date is yet to be revealed, but Mojang teases that it will arrive "soon."
