In the upcoming episode of ABC's hit mockumentary series, "Modern Family," viewers will see Cam and Mitchell's relationship being tested.
In episode 6 titled "Grab It," Cam (Eric Stonestreet) won't be completely honest with Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson). The former will refuse to tell the latter the truth behind his play. Although the pair always finds a way to make things work, will they be able to go through this hurdle? In addition, a former boyfriend's upcoming appearance in the show will eventually add more problems for the couple.
Furthermore, Jay (Ed O'Neill) and Phil (Ty Burrell) will have an awkward encounter. Phil's wife, Claire (Julie Bowen), will find out how she's influenced her brilliant daughter, Alex (Ariel Winter).
In the following episodes of "Modern Family," Kelsey Grammer, multi-award winning actor of NBC's popular sitcom "Frasier," will be joining the cast. The actor will be portraying Keifth, Cam's ex-boyfriend.
Cam, who used to work as a professional clown, was once in a relationship with his circus ringmaster, Keifth. The pair was together several years before Cam met and fell in love with his husband, Mitchell. Fans of the show can expect to see how Mitchell will react to his partner's unforeseen reunion with an ex-boyfriend.
People reported that Grammer just filmed scenes for his "Modern Family" appearance this week. However, the episode which will introduce the "Frasier" alumni will air in January 2017.
According to TV Line, his appearance in "Modern Family" will be Grammer's first time to appear in an ABC sitcom. On the other hand, the actor won't be a stranger to the brains behind the show. The five-time Emmy winner has a rich history with the creators of "Modern Family." Grammer has worked with co-creators Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd on "Frasier" and "Back to You."
"Modern Family" season 8 episode 6 titled "Grab It," will air on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 8:30 p.m. EDT on ABC.
