'Mortal Kombat X' 'Kombat Pack 3' DLC release date news: New expansion expected at EVO?

When the 10th installment of the "Mortal Kombat" video game was released in 2015, it was an instant hit just like the previous titles of the franchise. However, as time goes by, players wanted more from the game developer NetherRealm Studios, which the company responded by rolling out more content updates. According to the latest reports, the American video game developer based in Chicago, Illinois is going to release a new DLC pack for "Mortal Kombat X."

The reports suggest that NetherRealm Studios along with the game's publisher Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment is going to roll out the fresh content during the Evolution Championship series or EVO.

According to Mammoth Gamers, there have been reports circulating all over the internet saying that Ed Boon, NetherRealm Studios creative director and co-creator of the title, hints about providing several details about the upcoming DLC through a Twitter post. However, the creative director did not mention as to when he will reveal the information.

Nonetheless, the publication predicts that the new DLC pack will be released during EVO. Apparently, Boon capitalized some of the letters on his social media post such as E, V and O. Many fans and critics are pretty positive that the company will unveil the new expansion during the event.

"Mortal Kombat X" fanatics have been waiting for the upcoming expansion for quite some time now. It is expected to be called "Kombat Pack 3," which is going to add more exciting features to the game.

Meanwhile, speculations about the additional characters included in the expansion are getting rampant. According to some fans, it is expected that the game developer will include Sindel, Fujin, and Smoke in the upcoming downloadable content. However, game observers believe that Rain, Li Mei and Jade could make it to the game once the content is available.

The EVO or Evolution Championship series has already started and it will end on July 25.
