'Mortal Kombat X' Kombat Pack 3 release date news update: DLC's launch could be close
The long-awaited Kombat Pack 3 downloadable content (DLC) for "Mortal Kombat X" has yet to turn up, but NetherRealms creative director Ed Boon reminds fans he has not forgotten about it yet.
In another Twitter poll, Boon asked fans about if they will pick up the Xbox One S. Many answered yes, but more said no. However, majority of the users flocked to the third answer.
Boon did not say anything about the result—and the interest for "Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack 3" DLC that it showed—but adding the said option, he may have predicted it will be the most voted in the poll.
If anything, this poll seems to show that Boon still has his eye on the "Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack 3" DLC and that despite its absence and the rare mentions about it, the pack is still on the table.
It was back in May when the idea of "Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack 3" DLC came about. The expansion pack emerged as the one thing that fans want to see the most.
Since then, he has been teasing its launch, like he always does on Twitter about upcoming releases by NetherRealms. Boon even teased a "Kombat Pack 3" launch at EVO 2016, which did not happen.
However, he promised that big news about "Mortal Kombat X" is coming. Fans will simply have to wait what Boon and NetherRealms really have in store.
In other related news, filmmaker James Wan gave an update on the "Mortal Kombat" movie, saying that it is "still cooking away."
"The key here is to try and do it right. I don't want to rush into it. So right now, we're just trying to take our time to make sure it's heading in the right direction," Wan told IGN.
"I think that's more important than trying to rush through it and pump up something that no one likes," he continued.
