'Mortal Kombat X' Release Date, Characters News: Game Features New Character Erron Black
The developers of "Mortal Kombat X" have confirmed that a new playable character named Erron Black would be featured in the latest edition of the game, which is due for release on April 14.
Erron Black is actually not totally new as he already exists in the prequel comic to "Mortal Kombat X."
His arrival was hinted at earlier in the month when screenshots of the game from Xbox One was taken and posted online. The screenshots showed that Black would just be one of the new characters arriving. In addition to him, Jax along with Shinnok and Cassie Cage in alternate costumes were revealed.
The trailer of the game released recently focused specifically on Black and showed that, just like in the comics, he is a human from Earthrealm who has unique skills with the gun. He was shown fighting with two pistols and comes with moves such as "Fatality" and "Brutality."
In his Fatality moves, after he fires into the enemy he throws a sand bomb and follows it up with a grenade that causes an explosion. Sand then pours out of the enemy's wounds, eyes, nose and ears. In the "Brutality" move Black just goes ahead and shoots opponents in their faces.
"Mortal Kombat X" is the much anticipated next release in the game series developed by NetherRealm Studios' in collaboration with Warner Bros. The upcoming installment in the fighting game franchise will see a new game play delivering the best combat experience in each battle which plays an important part in the fight for ultimately supremacy.
In "Mortal Kombat X," gamers will be able to pick variations for each of the characters and this will in turn influence how they fight and strategize during the game. As for characters, they include popular ones such as Scorpion and Sub-Zero, but other challengers both good and evil will be thrown into the mix.
The game will be launched initially on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Its release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 has been postponed.
