Moto Droid Turbo Release Date Rumors: More Details Emerge In Leaks
Leaks on the features of the Motorola Droid Turbo have been going on for the past few months ahead of its scheduled official release on Oct. 28.
The leaks have provided enough information on its design, specs and the carrier where it's going to come out on.
The latest in the series of leaks saw images of the Droid Turbo taken in the wild. It featured an all-black casing with Verizon imprinted on the back. This means it is fairly certain the phone is going to be launching through Verizon Wireless.
The leaks appear to confirm the rumors surrounding the specs of the phone. One image shows some of the specs displayed on the screen. Going by what is on the display, the phone has 3GB of RAM, an onboard storage of 32GB and a screen resolution of 2560x1440.
The phone is rumored to have 4G LTE connectivity and will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The display is 5.2 inches while the processor is rumored to be a 2.65 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805. The rear 21 MP camera is rumored to be paired with a dual-LED flash, while the battery appears huge at 3,900 mAh.
A press image of the phone recently surfaced on the Twitter page of Verizon. The Twitter account with the handle @DroidLanding posted the image and it remained online for a while before it was taken down. That leaked image showed the Motorola Droid Turbo with two different color schemes -- red and black.
PhoneDog notes that with the numerous leaks on the Motorola Droid Turbo, only very little information is left missing about the phone. However, the specs of the Droid Turbo could still potentially provide a few surprises when it is officially released.
